Who is Michelle?

Hello—it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm a professional artist with over 20 years of experience, best known for my Totem paintings: vibrant, colorful works that have truly transformed my life. Painting has given me the chance to build a dream career and share my passion with the world.

It’s also been a vital part of my healing journey. After finishing graduate school in 2008, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. In the years that followed, I turned to meditation and qigong for strength—and painting became my constant. No matter what was happening with my health, art gave me a way to stay grounded, focused, and connected to something deeper. Through this practice, I discovered the power of the flow state—how creating can support the spirit, mind, and body in profound ways. Now, working from my cozy backyard studio in Atlanta, my goal is to support and inspire creative souls all over the world. Many of my students come to art as a form of healing, and I deeply believe in its ability to help us process emotions and find peace—from the inside out.

Are you ready to tap into your creative voice and move past whatever’s been holding you back?

What if you gave yourself permission to become the artist you know you can be?

Would you share your art with the world?
How would that change your life?

The possibilities are endless—
and it all starts with saying yes to your creativity.

Questions?

Is Catalyst for beginners?

Yes! Catalyst is suitable for beginners and advanced students. I have an art foundations class to teach you the basics. The live classes are great to follow along by example.

What if I miss one of the live classes?

All classes are recorded and available on the Member Portal by the next day to watch.

I don’t have any art supplies. How do I know what to buy?

We have shopping lists (with links where to buy) for all the styles I teach. At the very basic level you can start with watercolors and watercolor paper.

Can I sell and share the art I make in Catalyst?

Of course! You are welcome and encouraged to share and sell your work. Though, you are not allowed to teach or share the techniques, samples, videos or content from Catalyst.

I have another question not on this list. How do I get it answered?

Email us anytime at hello @ email.michellearmas.com.

Erin Gibson

I loved this class more than you can know. Just having a couple of hours to do ANYTHING else with my brain was incredible. I never thought being silent on a Zoom with other people would be so relaxing!

Annie Ropeik

My paintings are making me so happy whenever I see them in my home now and I can't wait to play around with the new techniques again. I found it so inspiring and easy to learn. It was a wonderful supportive group and I appreciated that there were many other art novices like myself.

Joanne Bramley

I thought your structure for the class was very effective. Especially for beginners like myself, there was no pressure to achieve something predetermined by a certain point in the class.
